The primary objective of ConMat’15 is to create an environment of mutual cooperation between experts in Materials and Structures and provide a forum for active dialogue. The Organizers believe that it is only through such a multi-disciplinary approach that significant cross-fertilization of ideas can occur and innovative solutions to our infrastructure inadequacies can be found. ConMat’15 will be held at the Hilton Whistler Resort and Spa, British Columbia, Canada. Whistler, the host site for the 2010 Winter Olympics, is located approximately two hours north of Vancouver. Transport is available by pre-booked bus or rental car from Vancouver International Airport. Driving there on the Sea-to-Sky Highway, which passes by spectacular Howe Sound and the glaciated Tantalus Range is part of the Whistler experience. Whistler Village is one of the top destination resorts in North America with two of the top ski resorts in the world and year-round recreational opportunities. Three championship golf courses, gondola rides to the high alpine country, hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, whitewater rafting and helicopter glacier site seeing tours are some of the attractions of Whistler. Shopping opportunities and a lively restaurant and night life scene are popular Whistler experiences.

ConMat’15 will feature a number of special sessions on hot topics such as High Volume Fly Ash Concrete, Fiber Reinforced Concrete, High Performance Concrete, Self Compacting Concrete, Shotcrete, Life Cycle Costing, Structural Health Monitoring, FRPs in Structural Strengthening, Smart Materials, Engineered Composites, Concrete Admixtures, Thin Sheet Products, Fire Resistance, Concrete Durability, Blast Mitigation and Protection of Structures, Specialized Wood Products, Recycling, etc.
